Jade Goody dies
It seems a little redundant to post this as this is very unlikely to be breaking news for anyone. However, Jade Goody has lost her fight with cancer during the early hours of this Mothering Sunday and died aged just 27.
I’m glad that there’s an end to this now, as love or loath Jade no-one deserves to have suffered in such a way and I’m glad that her plight seems to be having a positive effect on the number of women paying attention to cervical cancer.
I’ve tried to avoid news coverage of the story today (hence the lateness of this post) because I don’t think I could face Max Clifford and Shilpa Shetty reading out soundbites and wiping away imaginary tears.
