Its a Britney affair…

Short and late one this time.

My affair of the week is Britney.

I love this woman. When she first came out I was young and confused and thought she was Buffy in ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’. Then she was all on the moon and jumping around a beach with a big red ball. Then she got all raunchy and sexy. Then shaven-headed and mental. Then mental but sexy. And now, Britney seems to be coming back with a vengance. Still a wee bit eccentric, but I can’t fault her. Lesser stars would have done something stupid or faded into non-existance after the rollercoaster ride she’s had.

God bless you Britney. I sincerely wish she was really my affair of the week.

I have to say I do love her, we all predicted a Britney death by the end of the year after her psycotic antics but she has managed to bring herslef back and her ‘Blackout’ album was awesome, ‘Circus’ is a little less so but meh.

Her performence on X Factor last night might not have been the greatest thing since sliced bread, the main problem was thet she didnt sing live, but there was a fantastic entrance, dancing, remixed version of Womanizer, costumes and Britney looked like she was loving it.

In a time where the pop stars of the 90′s are starting to fade its good to see that one is still shinning (even if she is a little crazy.)

Indeed she does Blackett. I don’t really care about Britney-politics. I love her music and think she’s a fascinating character; the good, the bad and the baldness included.

I think she has gone through a rather large transition from the spokes person for chastitiy to re inventing herself as a sex symbol, to being a mental case and now coming back to being a superstar again.
