This just looks like a crappy rip off of Jam Sessions for the DS. Except you can’t play your own songs on this.

Oh my god jam sessions looks awesome, normally if a rythm game doesnt come with a dance matt im not interested, Guitar hero does seem like an odd setup with the peripheral as well, especially if the rumours are true that the new DS is on its way.

It seems to me that they’re just trying to maintain some momentum in the face of the Rock Band phenomenon.

Can some one exaplin to me the rock band phenomenon, I get guitar hero because its cheaper than buying a real guitar and buying an amp and the like and its a styalised experience because its not like really playing a guitar. However Rock band you are paying for enough periphaerals that it becomes more expensive than a console, and I just cant imagine how its satisfying tapping electro drums, rather than banging on the real thing.
Im so not cool enough

Basically Harmonix, the developers behind the first two Guitar Hero games, left the franchise to crack on with Rock Band. The idea is that since Guitar Hero was such a social game, Rock Band can be a social and more co-operative game. You don’t need to buy all the peripherals to play either, just the ones you want, so you might just be after the mic, then your mate can get the drums, or whatever. It’s no more expensive than Guitar Hero really.
