Wendy Richard, the actress who played Pauline in Eastenders for nigh on forever and Miss Brahms in Are You Being Served? has died today after losing her fight with breast cancer.
I hope they do a Pauline/Miss Brahms/Carry On day in her honor as she was one of the (largely) unsung heroines of British television. Check out her Wikipedia page before it becomes infested with ‘citation needed’s everywhere and the BBC are doing a half hour tribute to her life tonight after Eastenders at 8:30 on BBC 1.
