California says no to Gay Marriage
Hoorah to Obama becoming president and all the progressive thinking joy that comes with a black person being in charge of America after all the oppresion and racsim. However with all this awesome news, something really shitty has been brushed under the carpet, and that is (like Andy has pointed out) that California has voted yes on Prop. 8, the proposition that would stop gay marriages in California and could possibly mean that the marriages that have already occured will be annulled.
Now here at yourface we have paid little attention to Proposition 8 mainly because we felt that everything would end up being hunky dory, after all such big hitters as Apple, Google and many celebreties had stated that they were opposed to Proposition 8 and we very much underestimated the power and money of the Mormon / Catholic church. And the state has said that same sex couples are not allowed to enjoy the same rights as heterosexual couples.

To me this is blatant discrimination. I don’t understand how people can say its not right for two consenting adults who want to spend their lives together and have financial security just because those two people happen to be two men or two women. Any person who voted yes on Prop 8 makes me feel sick and sad. It is making a divide in the country and says that gay couples are second class citizens.
I do understand that the church used rather underhanded techniques to confuse voters about what proposition 8 was actually about, and the expoitation of children is disgusting.
Heres a fun game, watch the next video and take a shot after ever lie.
