Amanda Palmer: Runs in the Family

I know I am a bit slow off the mark with this one, but I love the Dresden Dolls and I only discovered today that the lead singer has done some solo work. So here is one track from her new album, it sounds exactly like the Dresden Dolls which is both good and bad, I would have liked to see her do something new maybe a nice pop ditty or a bit of swing perhaps. But this song is all kinds of wonderful, words, piano and full on orchestra make a beautiful and powerful song which is sad, thoughtful and funny in more than one instance.

Look out for her Album ‘Who Killed Amanda Plamer’ it promises more of the same Dresden without the drums vibe and I simply love it.

I have been informed she is touring at the moment around the UK so keep your eyes and ears pealed.
