I am not one for cars, being an avid pedestrian but I do like to take note of car advertising because basically you are being sold a motorized bag that is expensive to run and pollutes the atmosphere. Through the last fifty years or so, attachment of feelings and imagery to a car has been the way forward, and in my opinion it is the humble Honda which has done it amazingly well (we shall ignore the annoying advert with too many colours and that song which tried to make Honda seem environmentally friendly *shudders*) and this is shows with Skoda trying oh so desperately to do the same with their big ol car cake thing.

Any way as you can see BMW created this beautiful installation which at first I though involved a really clever use of magnets (it was very early when I watched this) but in fact uses 714 metal balls that are individually suspended one barely visible strings, creating an seemingly weightless, amorphous mass. Each ball lowers and retracts independently, which allows them to approximate almost any form. and cycles through the forms and shapes of BMWs 90 year history. And it looks stunning so I say well done to you BMW more like this please.

There is a still image after the break.

Thank you cool hunting for this one
